What is Time Management?
Time management is the process of planning and controlling how much time you spend on specific activities. Good time management enables you to work smarter – not harder – so that you get more done in less time.
Why do we Manage our time?
We manage our time because we want to be efficient and effective with the limited time that we have. We also want to avoid time wasting and maximize our productivity.
Tips for managing your time.
There are a number of time management techniques that you can use to achieve this. The most important thing is to find the ones that work best for you and then stick to them.
Pomodoro Technique.
One popular technique is the Pomodoro Technique. This involves working for 25 minutes and then taking a 5-minute break. After 4 “pomodoros”, you take a longer break of 20-30 minutes.
Eisenhower Matrix.
Another popular technique is the Eisenhower Matrix. This helps you prioritize your tasks by urgency and importance. Urgent and important tasks are done first, followed by important but not urgent tasks. Tasks that are neither urgent nor important are delegated or eliminated.
